Blog

Posted by admin on June 22, 2011

The newer releases of Concrete5 or coming with a default 'blog' pre-installed. With the addition of the "Tag Block" and "Date Navigation Block" any of the road-blocks that previously existed from using Concrete5 as a blog site have been removed. This is great news and makes Concrete5 that much better!

However, this new blog function uses a new 'Page Type" called, "blog_entry". Any theme or template previously created for use with Concrete5 now requires the creator of that theme/template to create this new page type and then make it available to the users of that theme.

So - This is the new blog_entry page type for use with the "Rustic Lounge" theme. If, for some reason, you have a copy of this theme but do not have the blog_entry page type associated with it - then you can download the blog_entry page type here.

After downloading you will have to upload the file to your site's root/packages/cannonf700_rustic_lounge/themes/rustic_lounge/ folder and then activate the page type via the dashboard.

Thanks and Enjoy,
